Together with the University of Applied Sciences Aachen AQAS offered a workshop with the topic „Peer Review as a tool to enhance Quality ?!“ at the seventh European Quality Assurance Forum in Goteborg to discuss the topic together with representatives of Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences, Ministries and Agencies.

The European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) is organized annually by the European University Association (EUA), the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), the European Association of Higher Education Institutions (EURASHE), and the European Students Union (ESU) and can be seen as the most important platform to discuss new developments and trends in Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area. The jointly offered workshop was selected by the organizers as one of four workshops to be held at the forum in a competitive process out of many proposals. Participants discussed different ways to prepare peer reviews as well as conditions and prerequisites that contribute to a constructive peer review. Participants also used the opportunity to exchange their different experiences with results and effects of peer review procedures.

As the workshop was highly demanded even additional chairs and tables could not offer seats for everyone interested. AQAS already thinks to further develop this topic in 2014.
